Q: So as an experienced teacher, what is the hardest part of your job?
Mr Jaya: Okay, so the hardest part of my job is that I am holding two positions here. One is being a teacher, another is a discipline teacher or head of student affairs. So I have 2 hard things here to do, one of it is to divide my time with my teaching, as well as taking care of the students' discipline.
Q:So in Sri KDU you must have a lot of best friend like teachers, which teacher are you close with?
Mr Jaya: Oh ok, this is a interesting question. I think my friends will be those who had been working with me since 2015. My best friends are those who have been here since the very day I got into Sri KDU. I share many things with them personally. Work alongside them and they have always been there for me when I needed help.
Q: As a teacher who has taught for 15 years, do you still remember your first year of teaching?
Mr Jaya: Yes, I definitely remember the first day when Ms Chua and myself joined this school. I was introduced to Ms Harriet and also all the other teachers. I was then brought to the staffroom. I was very nervous because I felt that this was a huge organization and I was wondering how the students were going to be, but I was very fortunate that the 2015 students were very friendly. They treated me as one of their very own teachers and I was very comfortable, even from day one at SRI KDU and I'm blessed that this is going to be my 15th year working with this school.

Q: What talent or hobby do you have ?
Mr Jaya: So since primary 3, I was involved in badminton and I was using a wooden racket to play. Since the wood racket was heavy, I started training with that and my smash had become very fast. I turned out to be the best badminton player when I was in primary 5. I was the only student in my level who have been chosen to represent the school team, whereas the rest were from primary 6. From there, I started to represent school within the district. I won champion in the district level, and I was chosen to be the reserve in the Selangor team.
Q: What’s the most embarrassing thing that has happened while teaching ?
Mr Jaya: You know I teach sejarah and it is quite a dry and boring subject. So at times, you have to make jokes and the most embarrassing thing that has happened to me is my students don't seem to laugh, so it's quite embarrassing. I don’t particularly consider that a joke you see, but for me it's funny. But isn't really for my students, so it's quite embarrassing for me actually.
