He stepped in the room with lights switched off, curtains closed and dishes unwashed. Tom’s parents were constantly working and they were never home. He closed the door, walked in and started to tidy up his home. Tom opened a packet of fried rice that his mother bought for him. He ate his meal but ended up wasting half of it. Tom went to sleep early and waited for the sun to rise next morning. He entered his classroom the next day, and his classmates started to laugh at him. He wondered with curiosity, “What is so funny?”, as he walked to his seat and sat down heavily. He asked his one and only friend, Bob, why was everyone laughing at him. Bob told him sadly that the word had spread out and Tom was frustrated. He took his books out of his bag rapidly and slammed it all on the table. The classroom swift into silence immediately, but there were still soft giggles that could be heard from the back of his classroom. Tom ignored the fact his classmates were laughing at him and thought of how did his classmates find out.
“BRINGGGGGG”, the school bell rang and it was break time as Tom walked towards the cafeteria. As he was walking, he passed by the corridor and all at once, tomatoes were thrown at him by students from other classes. Tom was shocked and he ran out of fear. ‘DUMB ORPHAN! WHAT A LOSER! GET A LIFE!’. All he heard was students from the corridor yelling at him. He quickly ran away and headed towards the principal’s office. He stood patiently for the principal to allow him in. Five minutes later, Tom was called in. Tom shut the door and greeted his principal, Mister Venoth, with respect. Tom started to vent out his emotions. Mister Venoth pinned back his ears to Tom. After Tom finished venting out his issues, Mister Venoth took out a letter from his drawer and read it out loud to Tom. Tom was shocked to hear what was written in that letter. All he knew was that letter was written by Bob and it frightened the living daylights out of Tom. Tom went back home sadly and he had no appetite for dinner. When his parents came back home from work, they were terrorized to find Tom hanging, dead, on his ceiling fan. After Tom’s terrifying death news was circulated, everyone started questioning curiously on “What was in that letter?”
